Movie News--Batman to Appear in "Arrow" Television Series?

Could we see the two work together?

Coming in October, the CW will be premiering its new television show "Arrow" which is based on the Green Arrow. Green Arrow is a fictional character in the DC universe who is  a skilled archer (obviously) who creates trick arrows with various special functions. With Warner Brothers producing the television series, does that mean we will see other DC heroes throughout the series such as Batman?

In CW's first superhero television series "Smallville", we eventually saw other heroes be introduced into Clark Kent's world in the series such as Aquaman, the Flash, and Green Arrow himself. This of course didn't happen until much later seasons in the series. But even with the few other heroes we did see, we never saw one of the most iconic ones...Batman. Several years ago the creator of "Smallville" said that there were two characters they could not touch in the series as it expanded. This would be Batman and also Wonder Woman. This had to do with things such as timing but with this now being the future and Christopher Nolan wrapping up his Batman movies, can we see Batman on the small screen?

Batman is one of the most iconic and, lets face it, bankable characters in the DC universe so there is no reason why Warner Brothers wouldn't allow this to happen. At this moment though, it is unclear whether or not Bruce Wayne will make an appearance in "Arrow". First, we have to wait and see whether or not "Arrow" will be a hit with audiences, then they will be able to expand into other characters as well. I think it would be great to see these two work together (if the show is good) since both don't rely on superpowers but rather their wealth to fight crime.

What do you think? Would you want to see the two team up or do you think this show is just a bad idea to begin with?
