Trailer Talk--"Lawless"

And I was hoping to never hear from Shia LaBeouf again after "Transformers"...

"Lawless" is owned by Columbia Pictures.
                                                   Release Date: August 29, 2012

"Lawless' takes place in Franklin County, Virginia during the Depression Era. It follows three brother (Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf, and Jason Clarke) who are part of a bootlegging business who become threatened by authorities who want a cut in their profits. Just after watching this trailer, the director, Jonah Hillcoat, definitely gave it a real grisly/dark feel. The film is based on writer Matt Bondurant's (one of the brothers) book "The Wettest County in the World", which follows his family's sordid history as moonshine runners during the Dust Bowl Era in America.

Minus having Shia LaBeouf in the cast, this movie looks like it should be good. There is a lot of talent within the cast, especially coming from Tom Hardy whose stardom just seems to keep on rising (no pun intended). Tom Hardy's character seems to be the center of this film as he tries to balance business and personal (romantic) life. With the great collaboration behind the scenes as well, the movie will probably have great character development and great storytelling.

So what do you think? Does "Lawless" look like great western action fun to you, or just a boring tale of a family in the Dust Bowl?
