Out of everyone is the DC universe, did you ever expect Green Arrow to look this awesome?
Already only two months away and the CW has released another trailer for their upcoming new series "Arrow". There hasn't been much promotion for it, at least not yet, but that will probably happen as it's release date nears. I think this trailer will definitely peak audiences curiosity of what the show will be like, and show skeptics that it might not be completely awful after all (at least it did for me). If you have the time, I definitely suggest giving it a watch.
For those who are unaware what "Arrow" is going to be about, it follows the story of billionaire Oliver Queen who is a fictional character in the DC comic universe. He becomes the masked vigilante Green Arrow to protect Star City from crime dressed as Robin Hood. He uses archery skills, martial arts, and technology to fight crime. The newest "Arrow" trailer definitely shows more action with typical metal music playing in the background, but it also show how it really does take a certain kind of person to become a vigilante as he goes to clean up the streets of now Starling City.
The trailer kind of shows how Oliver Queen goest from a spoiled, wealthy playboy billionaire kid to a disciplined man after spending five years alone (possibly) on an island in the North China Sea. Yes, in this way Oliver Queen is sort of like Bruce Wayne (they do have somewhat similar backstories). Oliver Queen, like most DC billionaires, goes through hardship, but we do see him emerge on the other side as a changed man who wants to help people. After reading that statement, Batman probably came through your mind (I know I keep making the comparison but you're making it as well). If the show is a hit, I really hope they write the two in one (or more) episodes together. (I do have an article on it possible happening in older posts).
So what do you think? Does this trailer change your mind, get you more excited for the show, or does it do nothing for you?
