"Zero Dark Thirty" is owned by Columbia Pictures.
Release date is December 19, 2012.
"Zero Dark Thirty" is directed by Kathryn Bigelow, who brought us 2010's Best Picture Oscar-Winning film "The Hurt Locker". This movie again has to do with the Afghanistan war, but sort of in a different way. "Zero Dark Thirty" got it's name because it's other title "Kill Bin Laden" was a little more controversial. Any guess on what the movie might be about?
Well if you're still unsure "Zero Dark Thirty" is about the Navy SEAL Team 6's mission to locate and kill the infamous terrorist Osama Bin Laden. It has been said that contributions have been made by those who were actually present for some of the events that happen in the film.
With an impressive cast and an Oscar-Winning film director, this movie will probably be a hit in theaters. Although Bigelow has been criticized for her movie "The Hurt Locker" for it's inaccuracy on things such as military procedure, tactics, equipment, and weaponry, I still think this will be another Oscar-Winning military thriller. But with that being said. Bigelow is definitely under more pressure then for getting things right on a topic that is still found to be controversial and emotional for people.
What are your thoughts? Are you excited to see this or is it to controversial to be making a movie like this so soon?
